Hi Lisa,

Thank you for contacting us. From the excerpts I've
read so far, this is very powerful stuff. Your imagery
is extremely vivid, pure, honest, and hardcore. I can
feel the terror, the fear, the blood and the bullets
as I read these pieces. And it helps that you have a
very good sense of form and story telling abilities.
This is all-around excellent writing.

I would like to read the entire PDF that you sent, and
get back to you with further thoughts. The excerpts
are great, but I would like to see where the entire
piece is going.

Thanks again for your submission, I'm looking forward
to reading more.

Sincerely,

Stephen Kaldon,

Writing

Dear Lisa,
Thank you for your wonderfully kind words about my writing. After reading your work, I find your desire to write like me unfounded. Your mastery of description is amazing and I found some of it too real for me to read. But your work in poetry was quite absorbing and I wondered where all that came from, then I read your bio and found a depth of strength and vulnerability that in combination has birthed a true talent that can only be born from experience..whether good or bad. My congratulations on your wonderful personal accomplishments and your willful percision with the written word. I am honored that you read my work.

Lisa o my GOD, how horribly AWSOME, I love your work I truly do, the mix of fear, love, rejection, violence... the tension, I live your work, your work is alive I must say. It hard for me to cry but if I could I would easily be crying right now, theres not enought words to put here to describe the awsome work you created. really awsome, keep it up.Your writing is so vivid, I can see it like a movie. I love it, keep it up.

Sep 27, 2007 10:13 PM   Subject: Must Read

Body: Goto "search" and put in The 9th day in display name. If you love horror, you will dig this! I found this author on another site and I was blown away by the bit of story she left to read. This may very well be the 1st book I have bought for myself to read in almost 4 yrs.!

 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When I was first approached by Lisa, I have to admit, I was a little apprehensive. I mean, we did meet on myspace and than we got to chatting everyday and I started to really enjoy our conversations. She mentioned that she had written a book and I thought.."Wow"...that is really cool. She said that she would start posting chapters and that I could start reading the story.
Well, it didn't take me long to be hooked completely. I was blown away by the raw and horrifically graphic nature in which she wrote.
I was so totally wrapped up in the story that I would "nag" her to keep putting up more chapters. I am sure her fingers were quite sore because she was very generous in posting the new chapters quickly.
My husband and daughter thought I was crazy for sure. Whenever they would pass by my room, I was either crying or staring as if in a daze at the computer screen.
It has been a while since I have read a story that has moved me so much.
Yes, it is very violent towards a woman but it was meant to show and pretty much put you in her shoes...the victim.
Lisa accomplished that. Violence in any form is not pretty especially towards a woman. I loved "Tess's" spunk. She had a very strong spirit and that made her a hero in my eyes.
Lisa is a very gifted writer. To be able to put the reader in her "world" and make us feel like we were there experiencing all that the character experienced is truly the sign of a wonderful storyteller.
I am glad to have been a part of this and I truly wish her all the success she so rightfully deserves.
Sincerely,
Helayna Nov.7,2006
Kathy" Nov.2, 2006"The 9th Day is a terror-filled, grab-you-by-the throat rollercoaster ride from the very first word to the very last! A heartpounding thriller, The 9th Day is an experience the reader will beg to be over, and cry when it is! You will never forget the heart wrenching agony Tess and her unborn child suffer at the hands of her ruthless kidnappers!! They are determined to punish Tess for killing one of their own, and they will do everything possible to mentally and physically destroy her in the most painful way imaginable. Fast-paced and brutally honest, The 9th Day takes the reader along for the most terrifying ordeal of Tess's young life, and leaves you breathless as she fights for her very life, and the survival of her unborn child. The 9th Day is a must-read! Just be careful when you turn out the lights tonight...very bad things are out there - in the dark!!"
"First and foremost, I have to say WOW! I was so enthralled with the book; I could barely stop to actually work. (I read this while I was at work!). I read the whole thing in about 3 days. I found myself barely able to let go of what was happening in the story to come back and live in my own reality. A lot of things hit home and I truly "felt" what Tessa was going thru. The writer really made me feel like I was Tessa and I was enduring all her pain. I'm not normally one for gore, but I thought this was done very tastefully and I would buy the book in a heartbeat. Not to mention, I was constantly talking about it to my friends, co-workers, my son and his friends. I would recommend this book to everyone. I think there are a lot of women out there that could relate to Tessa and I can't wait to read the second book! Thanks again Lisa for a wonderful job. Kudos to you."
D.L. Abrams a.k.a Ladydragon ..h 2006 "This book had me at the edge of my seat begging for more, I love Tess's charector made me feel I new her, I felt all her pain, as she was brutally tortured, but she is so strong to fight til the end, felt as if I was there fighting there with her. Lisa made it all so real to me. All the charectors thier personalities as well as their appearance was brought to life to me, Lisa had me living in this book,like a movie, the imagery she had made going in my mind was so real to me, . I couldnt stop reading it I am so hooked. As I read this book I cried, laughed, was pissed off and horrified, and excited. It is passionately dark , cut to bone grusome, raw and honest, that evil is out there waiting and lurking in the shadows. Lisa you are awesome, keep it up I'm waiting for more...kudos!!!!!"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Storm (aka) Nannette. I was caught from the first page. That is hard for me because I have read so many novels. It draws you in and doesn't let go. I was in that car with her all the way to the end of the story. I felt her laughter, pain, and rage. It was hard for me to get back to real life. It effected me so much. I would read it when I got off work. I work the third shift it made me more aware of my surroundings. It was like a drug I was hooked. Lisa has an awesome talent. It is a true gift of a good storyteller. I cann't wait for more. I really have no words to describe how it made me feel it left me speechless. So for Tessa sake I hope we get our revenge.

 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Rarely have I read a prologue and an opening chapter that succeeds in driving the story forward without slowing it with needless description. For me this story is a 'must read' and any lover of horror who does not have L G Olsen's work on their bookshelf is missing out.
Very powerful. I'm not one who gets teary over books but this passage had my vision blurring. I could feel the emotions running through Matt and Tessa as if I were with them. It takes a very stronge writer to do that. You should be very proud of your talent. Your an amazing writer Lisa.
sweet Lisa...
I understand what you mean...i believe, also because i am a writer myself, that every part of the book you write (common you), is a piece of you that you put it out, and when because of the editing has to be cut...is like rip out a piece of your heart, and is painful......and you are right, this is a powerful chapter and is such a shame that have been cutted...
*hugs*
